Making Lab Visits Easier For Families
Visiting our labs just got easier. On June 1, we launched a new user-friendly tool called On My Way that lets patients and families find Cincinnati Children’s lab locations, view wait times, schedule appointments, or simply let the lab know that the patient is on the way.
The tool is available in MyChart but does not require a MyChart account, making it easily accessible to both new and current patients. On My Way can also be used to schedule COVID-19 tests.
Here’s how it works:
Choose your reason for visiting—lab test, specimen drop-off, or COVID-19 test.
Choose a Cincinnati Children’s lab location.
Choose an appointment time, or simply let the lab know that you’re on your way.
Complete your reservation and estimate your arrival time.
“To ensure that an accurate wait time displays for each lab location, patients will now be required to register and check-in for lab tests, even if they have already registered for an office visit,” said Kathy Good, senior director, Clinical Lab Operations. “This is a change for families who frequently have appointments at one of our neighborhood locations, but we believe the added conveniences delivered by this tool will make lab visits a better experience for all.”
